Azores Week returns to Hotel Açores Lisboa with a programme dedicated to the culture and gastronomy of the archipelago. The third edition of this special week brings with it an inspiring executive menu, wine workshops, an Azorean brunch, and a regional products market, making BASÁLTICO Restaurant Garden & Terrace the meeting point between island tradition and the dynamism of Lisbon.

Organised by Hotel Açores Lisboa to celebrate the roots and authenticity of the archipelago, the third edition of Azores Week will take place at the end of this month. From 25th to 31st May, BASÁLTICO Restaurant & Garden Terrace becomes the epicentre of Azorean culture in Lisbon, offering a sensory journey that combines contemporary gastronomy, local products, and new experiences.

The initiative invites visitors to experience the Azores in Lisbon and further establishes BASÁLTICO as a leading destination in the capital, presenting a curated set of exclusive initiatives:

  • 100% Azorean Executive Menu (25th–29th May | Lunch & Dinner): During the week, lunch will be fully dedicated to the flavours of the islands. The menu changes daily, featuring dishes such as roasted octopus in local “vinho de cheiro,” seared tuna steak with sweet potato purée, and the iconic Azorean beef steak with São Jorge cheese aligot.
  • Azores Wine Workshop (27th May | 5:30 PM): A guided journey through the uniqueness of volcanic wines and an opportunity to learn how to identify the aromas and grape varieties of the islands. Participation fee: €15 per person, with a maximum of 10 participants.
  • Azorean Regional Steak Special (30th May): A full day dedicated to the archipelago’s most iconic dish, available at lunch and dinner for true lovers of Azorean beef.
  • Azorean Brunch & Local Market (31st May): The week concludes with a themed brunch featuring island delicacies, complemented by a market of traditional products and crafts, in collaboration with the Azores Craft and Design Centre.

To extend the experience, at the end of each meal guests will receive a Grocery Voucher, allowing them to take a taste of the Azores home with them.

An emblematic property of Bensaude Hotels, Hotel Açores Lisboa reinforces through this initiative its mission of connecting the capital to the archipelago, in a unique setting enhanced by privileged views over the Gonçalo Ribeiro Telles Urban Park.
