From very early on, Faial Island became used to welcoming travelers and making the island their home. Like the island, our Horta hotel also becomes a haven for the North Atlantic crossing. Sailboats and cod fishing boats give the theme to the hotel's design, and remind us of the island’s most recent past, seaplanes.

You can't get a better location!
You can't get a better location! Walking distance to everything in Horta with gorgeous views of Pico. The room was clean and the bed was decent. The shower had great water pressure. Breakfast was great! A few things were a bit dated, bit overall, I'd say this is the best in Horta!

A nice modernized hotel with an old-school vibe, spacious and clean rooms, good restaurant, good breakfast buffet, great cocktails on the front deck, views of Pico, easy walk to everything in Horta, and super friendly and helpful staff!
A very pleasure experience to stay in this hotel
Part of Bensaude hotel chain, this hotel was given to me to spent one night after SATA cancelled my flight from Horta to Corvo. Hotel going through makeover from outside now. But was a very pleasure experience to stay in this hotel. Central view to the Pico volcano on Pico Island and the port. Very nice design of the room, comfortable bed. All clean.

Hotel muito bom, funcionários simpáticos, excelente localização. Quartos espaçosos, muito limpo. alimentação saborosa. Chegamos ao hotel pelas 21h para fazer o check in e mesmo fechando o buffet de jantar às 22h não nos faltou nada.

Lovely hotel
Lovely hotel and breakfast was superb
The hotel is the perfect base for exploring one of the most beautiful islands in the Azores.
As part of the Azorean Bensaude Hotel Collection the Hotel Do Canal located in the centre of Horta is one of the best locations to stay at on the island of Faial. The hotel will soon undergo a complete renovation to refresh the technology and design of the hotel. My suite had a sleeping and living area with a view of the volcano on the neighbouring island of Pico, a bathroom with bathtub/shower combination and toilet as well as a separate guest toilet. Meals can be taken in the Clipper restaurant. In addition to a small breakfast buffet with high-quality local products, a small buffet with starters, hot main courses, a selection of desserts and cheese is usually offered in the evening. All in all, with its central location and upscale facilities, the hotel is the perfect base for exploring one of the most beautiful islands in the Azores.

Excelente em todos os aspectos: localização, quarto confortável, jacuzzi e pequeno almoço. O staff da recepção é muito atencioso e muito profissional. Adorei a vista magnifica do meu quarto para o Pico.

Quartos muito confortáveis e espaçosos. Bom pequeno almoço. Ótima localização, com uma vista soberba para o Pico e para o Canal. Simpatia do pessoal, tanto na recepção como no restaurante. Fiquei 6 dias, por isso lidei com muitas pessoas diferentes. Já tinha ficado neste hotel há 15 anos quando visitei o Faial e espero voltar.
